| Introduction
The Big Bend Hospice Foundation was established in 1996 in order to raise the funds necessary to build the Hospice House. The Foundation continues today as the fundraising arm of the organization, charged with raising funds for the following programs. These services are available only because of private donations.
The Caring Tree program offers care for children and teens grieving the loss of a loved one. Professional counselors listen, teach, and provide strategies for these children to successfully navigate the grieving process. Learn more about this valuable program (click here)
Music Therapy offers the gift of music to soothe and comfort the soul. This type of therapy offers prescribed use of music by trained professionals to attain specific therapeutic goals. Learn more about the magic of Music Therapy (click here)
Grief and Loss services are offered throughout the community, whether or not a family member has been served by Big Bend Hospice, through individual and group counseling. Grief Support and Suicide and Early Loss groups served 2,700 families and many community members last year. Learn more about Grief and Loss services (click here)
Emergency funds, made possible by your donations, help Big Bend Hospice patients who need goods and services not reimbursed by any payer source. Needs are determined by the patient’s hospice care team as essential to quality of life.
