Big Bend Hospice believes in the concept “neighbors helping neighbors” when it comes to caring for patients and families in our eight county service area.
As your “Hometown Hospice”, we are working to improve permanent roots in each of these counties through the purchase of land/building for new offices. Thanks to the generous support from Jefferson County community leaders, BBH has recently purchased a parcel of land on the corner of Madison Street and North Jefferson Street. Plans are now underway to begin construction of an office for members of the Jefferson County Interdisciplinary Team ~ RNs, Aides, Social Workers, Spiritual Counselors, and Music Therapists. The office will also provide space for administrative staff, volunteer training, and community education presentations.
Our metal bird sculpture, Hope Rises, will “land” at the new Jefferson office once it is completed. This sculpture was donated by sculptor Mark Dickson and serves as a symbol of the enduring partnership between BBH and our neighbors in Jefferson County.
